Anaikatty Rural Community College (ARCC)

Transforming Lives Through Skill Development Since 2012

ARCC Campus

Started in 2012, ARCC is our flagship skill development center impacting the socio-economic standards of rural and tribal people of Anaikatty. Today, ARCC hosts 9 courses and has impacted more than 800 students in the region.

The college is affiliated with BSS (Bharat Sevak Samaj), a national development agency established in 1952 by the Planning Commission of the Government of India.

Why ARCC Was Started

Due to lack of proper employment opportunities and distraction by illegal activities, we decided to offer young adults a choice and an opportunity to dream, and make their dreams come true by setting up Anaikatty Rural Community College.

We also reach out to young women who are married and are housewives. Most men in their community do not work, so women take the burden of learning a skill, earning, and taking care of their families. ARCC provides them with flexible training that fits their life circumstances.

Agri-based and natural farming courses will be given importance as we move towards sustainable community development. We envision a future where our communities are not just skilled but also self-sufficient and environmentally conscious.
